Susanna Jones, Sports Therapist BSc (Hons), Director/Owner

Susanna graduated from the University of Chichester with a honours degree in Sports Therapy and went on to work in private practices in the UK and Australia.

In 2005, Susanna established her SJ Sports Therapy business in Malvern as well as teaching Sports Massage and Anatomy & Physiology, and working with Cheltenham Town Football Club.

Susanna moved to Stratford-upon-Avon in 2007, and launched SJ Sports Therapy in the local area. Susanna now works in her two clinic locations as well as providing Sports Therapy at motor sport events for the Jota Sport team.

Emily Hickman, Sports Therapist BSc (Hons)

Emily has a keen interest in sport, especially Judo. In line with her interest in sport and injury, Emily went on to study Sports Therapy and gained a first class honours degree from Coventry University.

Highlights of Emily’s sporting career in Judo include winning a silver medal at a Senior Women’s World Cup and carrying the Olympic torch in 2012. Since giving up Judo, Emily now enjoys weight lifting and is currently training for The Great North Run (2017).

Emily joined SJ Sports Therapy in 2013 and works alongside the rest of the team at our two clinics also works with Harbury Rugby Club.

William Lawton, Sports & Exercise Therapist BSc (Hons)

William qualified with a BSC (Hons) Sport and Exercise Therapist in 2014, and also holds a level 2 gym instructor qualification.

William has a passion for rugby and plays for a local club. He also enjoys cricket, football, golf and skiing. William’s interest in Sport Therapy came from a young age as he was injury prone and had to see a therapist regularly!

William joined the SJ Sports Therapy team in 2016. He also works at another clinic in the Birmingham area.

Jasveer Dhaliwal, Sports Therapist BSc (Hons)

Jasveer SJSTJasveer has previously worked with Basketball and Ice Hockey teams, and is experienced in working with those with disabilities. Jas recently competed in a white collar boxing event to raise money for charity.

She joined the SJ Sports Therapy team in 2016 and works at our two clinic locations alongside the rest of the team.

Jessica Shemmans, Sports Therapist BSc (Hons)

As well as treating patients privately, Jess also works for Old Coventrians rugby club

SJ Sports Therapists

As part of postgraduate study, the therapists have completed many additional courses to expand and update their expertise. Academically, Susanna has taught ITEC Diploma courses in Anatomy & Physiology, Sports Massage and Holistic Massage at colleges of further education. She also occasionally teaches one day advanced workshops.

SJ Sports Therapists have the skills to treat and rehabilitate people’s musculo-skeletal injuries or problems irrespective of their needs or age.

SJ Sports Therapists are members of The Society of Sports Therapists and/or The Federation of Holistic Therapists.
